August 2013

I forgot I had a blog. I forgot how to sign and and write a new random piece, but I got there in the end.  I should write far more often than I do.  I like writing, My brain is always on the go with thoughts and stories.  I just don,t know why I don't do anything with it and write a book (or even a short story) Living with a husband, an 18 year old, three cats and two rabbits, you would think that there is enough to write about, and yes there is. The funny thing is, something happens, my brains wants me to write it down, and then I get distracted through something else, and I forget.  I blame that on getting older and working nights.

Yes I work nights.  November 2011 I took on a new job, working on or at the switchboard in the same hospital as where I have been working for the past century (well it feels like a century).  And I love it.  The shifts are very long, as in 11 hours and I work on my own, but I love it.  I also seem to sleep better during the day than the night, so for the last few years before retirement, I think I'll stick with this job. If anything happens, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Until then I will happily go to work and enjoy what I am doing.

We've had the pleasure of having two new house mates, two bunnies called Bob and Marley.  They were found with their sister in a bag next to a road, and they were fostered by the lovely Jill Bee and Mr S.  Emke and I took a 600 mile round trip to Northumberland to pick them up.  Two days later Jill had another foster bunny (the boys' sister) and she has found a forever home with Jill.  They are funny looking bunnies, they are Lionheads.  And very handsome, as well as very lazy.  Marley is the most laid back of the two, and the most dirty one too.  I have no idea how he gets himself covered in poo all the time, whilst Bob is always clean.  I just don't get it.  I'll have to find a picture of them and add it to this rambling of mine.

And then there is Max.  He is such a character, and nearly three years old.  I can remember picking him up. He was so tiny and now he's a big lump, and stocky.  Not very big, but very fluffy, and cross eyed, but extremely loving. In a different way than Tyler and Nina, but a great cat.
